A'DAM Tower

Van Vuuren. Voor deurconcepten.

With its 100 metres tall structure on the banks of the river Ij, the A’DAM Tower is a prominent feature on the Amsterdam skyline. Tower design stems from 1966 by Dutch architect Arthur Staal as instructed by Royal Dutch Shell. That is also the origin of its nickname ‘Shell Tower’ among the people of Amsterdam.

The renovation was announced in January 2014 under the name A’DAM. Claus en Kaan Architecten designed a combination of offices, nightlife entertainment and an observation point with a rotating restaurant.

As door supplier, Van Vuuren made a valuable contribution to the modern and stylish interior. After two years of renovation, the tower was renamed as A’DAM Tower in 2016.
